Iceland likely to be next country to legalize gay marriage
Iceland is likely to be the next country to legalize gay marriage after the government introduced a gender-neutral marriage bill on March 23.
Carnal Nation reports that the bill was backed by Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, Iceland’s Prime Minister. Last year, Sigurðardóttir became the Prime Minister of Iceland and the world’s first openly LGBT head of government.
If approved, same-sex marriages could start as early as June 27.
